Incident Narrative
An employee was connecting a wire rope choker to a section of 36-inch concrete sewer pipe. After connecting the choker, a backhoe lifted the section of pipe. As the pipe section was being lifted it began to spin and struck the employee pinning his right leg against a section of stationary pipe. The employee sustained a fractured right femur and lacerations.
