The injured employee had been working on the roof of a building. The employee was getting off the roof and onto a 10-foot ladder to get down, while another employee held the ladder. While going down the ladder, the injured employee lost their footing and fell about 10 feet onto the dirt, landing on their left side and sustaining a broken left humerus.
