Incident Narrative

An employee was descending a power pole. He began transferring his primary safety to underneath a communication cable; his secondary safety had not clipped in and he fell to the ground about 15 feet below. He suffered a broken left wrist, a skull fracture at the base of the neck, and an injury to the left shoulder.
