Incident Narrative

An employee opened up an internal trailer valve to apply pressure and connected the hose to the trailer to offload product. While putting the hose in place to connect it, the external valve switch was hit and sulfuric acid came pouring out of the trailer, resulting in chemical exposure to sulfuric acid on the left and right wrists, left foot, left side of face, and middle of chest.
