Incident Narrative
The injured employee was assisting the blasting machine operator at the exit end of the machine. After a piece of steel exited the machine, the employee was brushing some blasting media back into the machine when his hand was crushed between the roller and the piece of steel, resulting in the amputation of a fingertip.
