An employee was cleaning a steel catwalk and removing and collecting a come along pulley and chain device to place back into a storage location. While moving backward, the employee stepped into an open floor hatch in the catwalk floor and fell 22 feet. The employee was hospitalized for a broken ankle and a sprained back.
