Incident Narrative

At about 3:40 a.m. on November 26, 2020, an employee was working on a paper machine, sliding the extractor open to load a roll. The extractor fell onto the employee's left index finger from a height of about a foot, breaking the finger at the tip just behind the nail bed. The employee was hospitalized, undergoing surgery to put a surgical pin in place.
