Incident Narrative
An employee had been media blasting for about an hour. Due to a clog, the employee lost control of the blasting nozzle. The employee's left hand slid in front of the blasting nozzle and the garnet sand used for media blasting went into the employee's hand. The employee was hospitalized and their left thumb required a skin graft.
