Incident Narrative
An employee was standing on the right side of the chipper chipping debris. A climbing rope was on the ground and had become entangled with the tree limbs. The rope went through the chipper, broke and snapped loose, and struck the employee on the face. The employee had severe bruising and a partially torn left ear. The employee was hospitalized.
