Incident Narrative
An employee was being trained on transferring acid from one tanker truck to another. He was connecting hoses and fittings between the trucks when nitric acid from the open end of one of the lines splashed onto his right arm. The employee was hospitalized for third degree chemical burns to 2.5% of the employee's right arm.
