Incident Narrative
A postal employee was delivering mail in a post office letter carrier vehicle. The vehicle was equipped with a comfort fan but no air conditioning. At approximately 5:55 p.m. on July 27, 2020, the employee was found unresponsive inside his vehicle. The employee was hospitalized with a high temperature and a possible seizure. Heat stress/exhaustion is suspected.
