Incident Narrative
An employee of West Texas Boring was 2.5 feet from the edge of a pit trying to measure the distance of the water line. The ground gave way under his feet and he slid down into the pit. The employee was buried up to his waist in approximately 4 cubic yards of heavy rock and dirt. He sustained fractures to the ribs and a leg.
