Incident Narrative
An employee was using a drill press to drill out a plug in a turbo housing. He wanted to change the drill bit and thought the drill press was in neutral. As he reached under the turbo housing, his right middle finger came in contact with the still-spinning drill bit, causing a severe laceration that resulted in an amputation to the first digit.
