Incident Narrative

An employee was repairing an elevated conveyor belt that had separated and stopped turning on the rollers. He repaired the belt and re-energized the system. The belt still did not move properly, and he moved to view the mechanism from a different angle. The belt caught his left hand and pulled it into the roller mechanism. The employee's left hand was crushed and degloved.
