Incident Narrative
An employee removed a piece of pipe to clear a blockage. After removing the pipe, the employee backed away and removed his PPE. The blockage broke loose and he was splashed/sprayed with condensate/steam heated to about 180-200 degrees Fahrenheit. He was hospitalized with burns to his elbow and shoulder blades.
