Incident Narrative
An employee was torqueing bolts with a hydraulic torque wrench inside a wind turbine. The employee was reaching to clear plastic debris from between the bolt and the wrench when the wrench actuated, crushing his right little finger and ring finger. He suffered an amputation to the little finger (6 millimeters from the nail); the injury to the ring finger required stitches.
