Incident Narrative
An employee was helping a crew run a cleaning pig through a pipe running from an oil well into the manifold. During the pig retrieval process, the pig became dislodged by unanticipated vapor buildup and exited the pipe. The vapor burst exited the pipe and the employee was overcome by the H2S vapors.
