An employee was manually positioning a 13-foot long, 460-pound steel I-beam with his hands onto cribbing with the assistance of a forklift when other I-beams stationed on the forks of the lift shifted. This action resulted in the employee having his right-hand middle finger caught between I-beams, which resulted in a partial amputation to his finger.
