An employee was standing on top of stacked wooden utility poles that were positioned on a flatbed trailer while connecting lifting chains to one of the poles to be unloaded. While connecting the lifting chains, the employee lost his balance and fell approximately 10 feet to the earthen ground, sustaining a fractured right tibia.
