An employee was measuring the length of an I-beam prior to cross cutting it on a band saw when his right hand was caught between the remote-controlled pneumatic clamp and the back fence of the saw where the I-beams are secured prior to cutting. Three fingers on the right hand were broken and the employee's ring finger was amputated below the first joint.
