An employee was working on the sort line when it became jammed. He had to go onto the line to remove a wire that was twisted in the conveyor. When the wire was removed, he entered an area above the chute. Once the belt was restarted, he missed a step and fell down the chute, landing on the pile of refuse below. He suffered multiple lacerations.
