Incident Narrative
An employee was inspecting a cotton gin that was sparking. The lower service door was removed, and the employee looked into the machine and used his left hand to steady himself on the doffer scroll. The machine was electronically locked out but had not come to a complete stop at the time. The doffer pulled the employee's left hand and arm 18 inches down into the radius scroll, severely injuring his left arm.
