An employee was standing next to a trailer when a 50-foot pipe weighing approximately 1,850 lbs. rolled off the trailer and struck the employee. The employee suffered a compound fracture to the femur and multiple broken bones in the lower leg, later resulting in an amputation of the leg above the knee.
