Incident Narrative

An employee was standing next to a trailer when a 50-foot pipe weighing approximately 1,850 lbs. rolled off the trailer and struck the employee. The employee suffered a compound fracture to the femur and multiple broken bones in the lower leg, later resulting in an amputation of the leg above the knee. The employee also suffered broken ribs and a shoulder injury.
