Incident Narrative

An employee was operating a magnetic drill to drill holes into flanges. After drilling and creating metal shavings, the employee utilized his left hand to wipe away the shavings. The employee's glove made contact with the drill, pulling his left hand into the drill and resulting in an amputation to the left ring fingertip.
