Incident Narrative
An employee was working on a single point vinyl welder when he turned to talk to another employee. His hand was placed on the top plate of the press welder at the time. When the welder finished its cycle, it came up and trapped his right pointer finger between the top plate and top of the welder. He pulled his gloved finger out and suffered a fingertip amputation.
