Incident Narrative

Two temporary employees cut a new window opening into metal siding on the second floor of a building. The employees then went to the first floor to install door and window frames. The injured employee went back up to the second floor to get a cordless drill and then heard the other employee call for something. When the injured employee went to the window opening to look down, the metal siding gave way. The injured employee fell 12 feet from the second floor, landing on the concrete pavement and broken roof tiles that were outside of the building fracturing his right elbow and hip.
