Incident Narrative

An employee and his coworker were lowering a 10-foot long, 3-inch conduit steel pipe to be installed at the ceiling part of the tunnel when the employee's right pinky finger was caught between the end of the pipe and a fixed ladder located at the west wall of the tunnel. He suffered the amputation of his right pinky fingertip without bone loss. Leather gloves were worn at the time of the incident.
