Incident Narrative

An employee was working on a valve on a water chiller (storing several thousand gallons of water) for a high-rise building. A nozzle or pipe broke off, sending water under very high pressure out of the pipe. The force of the spray knocked the employee off of his feet and pinned him against the wall. His legs were subjected to water under high pressure for about two minutes.
