Incident Narrative
An employee was lifting a dry goods box to unload it from a semi trailer. The employee was facing a 2 in. x 4 in. x 4 ft. wooden brace, lodged across the width of the trailer. The brace moved and struck the employee in the face, causing a cervical contusion, a disc herniation with radiculopathy, cervical stenosis, and facial lacerations.
