Incident Narrative

An employee was being trained on the operation of a 5-step depositor machine that fills muffin baking cups with batter. While the working motion of the machine was being demonstrated the employee contacted the slicing blade resulting in amputation of the pad of a finger. The machine was unguarded at the time.
