An employee was on the second level of an aircraft maintenance platform installing tags on equipment. The employee stepped on a hole cover and it gave way, allowing the employee to fall 9 feet to the concrete floor. The employee sustained head trauma, five fractured ribs, and a fractured L5 vertebra.
