A temporary employee was working at the plating line to prepare parts for the plating process. He was dipping hooks into a bath solution to remove oil from their surfaces for further production handling. His left hand was pulled into a hot (180 degrees) 4% caustic solution bath and suffered second degree burns. The employee was wearing gloves at the time.
