An employee was switching a railroad car to an outbound train. The employee was communicating with the conductor via radio. At some point the conductor lost radio contact with the employee. The railroad car made contact with the employee and knocked him down onto cross-ties and a rock. The employee sustained a broken pelvis (left side).
