An employee was pulling two sheets of plastic together with his hands. He was holding a nail in his right hand which he was going to use to stitch the sheets together. His right hand slipped off the plastic and traveled toward his face and the nail struck his right eye. The employee sustained an eye injury requiring hospitalization. The employee was wearing safety glasses at the time.
