Incident Narrative
An employee was running a vertical milling machine. During the milling process, he was brushing away particles (swarf) near the cutting surface when his glove became caught while the mill was still cutting. The machine then pulled the glove and his left pinky fingertip from his hand, amputating it to the first knuckle.
