Incident Narrative
An employee was sticking a rod through an inspection port to clean lime from the bucket elevator inside a lime kiln. He slipped and the rod and hot lime came out of the inspection port. The solid lime particles contacted his right forearm, causing second degree burns that required hospitalization.
