Incident Narrative

An employee lifted a 55-gallon plastic tank filled with trash to empty it into the dumpster. He placed the 55-gallon tank upside down so it could be completely emptied. The employee then climbed into the dumpster and knelt on the container wall. When he tried to shake the tank to empty it, he lost balance and fell 4 feet to the pavement resulting in a compression fracture to the back.
