Incident Narrative
An employee was operating a cordless circular saw to cut a piece of 2x6 wood when the battery started to die causing the saw blade to get stuck in the wood. The employee pulled the saw out and in doing so, the saw kicked back while the blade was still spinning thereby amputating his left pinky above the first knuckle.
