Incident Narrative
An employee was next to a house, using an excavator to dig a trench for drainage pipes. Seeing a coworker run toward the back of the house where another coworker was working, the employee quickly swung the cab away from the side of the house (to make space to exit) and jumped out. The cab swung back, pinning him against a brick chimney. He suffered a crushed torso and collapsed lungs and was hospitalized.
