Incident Narrative

An employee was cutting 2x2 stakes out of 2x4 material with a circular saw. He was making vertical cuts when the cut went through the material and down his right leg, causing an 8- to 10-inch laceration to his lower leg (below the knee and above the ankle) that cut an artery.
