Incident Narrative
An employee was cutting 3-inch copper pipe, locked in a tripod vise, with a portable bandsaw. While he was controlling the saw with his right hand and supporting the end section to be cut with his left, his glove caught on the blade and pulled the end of his fourth finger into the running blade. The fingertip was amputated, and he was hospitalized.
