Incident Narrative
An employee entered an area to unhang a piece of lumber on a set of conveyor chains for a sorter machine. Another employee, unaware that the employee was in the area, indexed the chains, pinning the first employee between the piece of lumber and an unstacked pack of lumber. The employee was hospitalized with a lacerated spleen and pancreatic transection.
