Incident Narrative
A 20-ton crane was removing a vibrating conveyor trough from the facility. The crane operator was swinging the trough to the left when the trough shifted in the cane and broke the safety latch on the crane hook. The trough fell about 5 feet and struck an employee in the chest. The employee suffered arm fractures and a broken rib.
