An employee was on a walk-behind mower with a slide when he tried to open a gate on the right side of an entrance and the mower spun into the left post of the gate. Three of the employee's fingers were pinned between the mower and the gate as he fell to the ground, resulting in right pinky, ring, and middle fingertip amputations.
