Incident Narrative
An employee was shoveling hot asphalt mix inside the box of a truck. The back vertical gate opened partially and the employee fell through, coming into contact with the hot material. The employee suffered severe burns to the stomach, palms, and wrists (requiring skin grafts), as well as possible nerve damage to the right forearm.
