Incident Narrative

The injured employee was asked to help flip over the gondola to get the debris out. While flipping the gondola with the operator, the employee pinched his left middle fingertip between the corner of the gondola and the cement floor. When he pulled his hand away from the pinch point, skin from the fingertip (palm side) was severed above the first joint. The employee was wearing nitrile gloves with cotton gloves over them at the time of the incident.
