Incident Narrative
The employee exited the loading dock and went down the stairs next to the container to observe the seal being put on the container. While waiting for the truck to pull forward he noticed that the right side container door was swinging out and was going to strike the yellow bollard pole at the base of the stairs. In an attempt to keep that from happening, he stepped between the door and pole to push the door out of the way. The door struck him in the chest and pushed him back into the pole. The weight of the door pinned him against the yellow bollard pole causing a bruised lung and a liver laceration.
