Incident Narrative
An employee was using a drill press machine. His left hand was under the press when it was activated via the foot pedal. The drill then came down and drilled through his left hand at the thumb and forefinger webbing area. He suffered an amputation of the left forefinger, fused first joint of the left thumb, and nerve damage to the left thumb.
