An employee was installing painter's tape around a window while standing about 12 feet up on a 24-foot extension ladder. After he finished the installation, he was descending when he slipped and fell about 8 feet onto the sandy ground below, resulting in a micro-fissure fracture on his L-2 vertebra. He was hospitalized.
