Incident Narrative

An employee was cutting pipe at a wellhead when a pocket of oil suddenly surfaced (well was plugged). A flash fire then occurred, causing second to third degree burns to both of the employee's hands and the right side of the stomach. PPE was not worn at the time of the incident.
